TotalEnergies Expands Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids Portfolio with New Acquisition
The acquisition of Fluid Competence’s specialty fluids strengthens TotalEnergies’ focus on safety and sustainability.
According to a latest news article in F+L Asia, TotalEnergies Lubrifiants has acquired fire-resistant hydraulic fluid product lines from German manufacturer Fluid Competence, reinforcing its commitment to high-performance, sustainable industrial solutions. The deal includes Corsave (a hydrous fire-resistant fluid) and Lubesave (a water-glycol-based fluid), both classified under ISO 12922 as HFA and HFC-E fluids. These solutions cater to industries requiring extreme fire resistance, such as steel, mining, and tunneling.
“Bringing Fluid Competence’s HFC-E business on board since 2023 and now adding HFA products is an exciting step in our strategy to grow our specialty fluids range and offer customers safer, sustainable solutions,” said Rainer Keiemburg, VP of Industrial Lubricants at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants.
The acquisition aligns with TotalEnergies’ sustainability strategy by offering eco-friendly alternatives that enhance worker safety and equipment reliability in high-risk environments.
